 最近幾年，攝影數位化帶來革命性的變化與方便，人手一機，輕易捕捉剎那瞬間影像，化為永恆。而追求攝影樂趣與藝術的人口，不斷增加，促使攝影的蓬勃發展和進步。台北攝影學會躬逢其盛，憑著優良傳統制度、組織完善、傑出幹部和頻繁活動，為台灣攝影界培育不少攝影人才。單以台北國際攝影沙龍就已完成三十五屆徵件作業，其間付出龐大的人力、物力、財力所累積的聲望與成就，享譽國內外，貢獻良多。
因應世界潮流，本屆收件流程突破往昔，以全面數位化處理，作者投件和繳費，透過網路傳輸，一次完成。總主席鄭馥華帶領的新團隊，沿襲前人腳步，認真負責，擴大國內外宣傳徵件，超過四千件的作品，已打破幾十年來的記錄，成績斐然。總幹事顏麗華，也是前任總主席，居間協調和幫忙功不可沒，本人代表台北攝影學會，對兩位的努力和付出，給予高度欽佩與肯定。
感謝來自國內外各地攝影朋友的參與和支持，使得本沙龍逐年成長和茁壯，期待明年能延續輝煌成果，再創嘉績。謝謝大家！

PREFACE |

In recent years, digital photography has brought about a revolutionary change. With a simple click, the camera can easily capture the instant of the moment and make it eternal. The number of people who pursue photography has also increased, which has helped to promote the development and progress of photography. The Photographic Society of Taipei, with its excellent traditions, frequently organized fun activities that helped to cultivate talent among interested photographers in Taiwan.The International Photographic Salon of Taipei alone completed thirty five projects, which made use of a lot of human, material, and financial resources. All of this allowed our foundation to accumulate reputation both at home and abroad.
In response to global trends, we have fully digitalized all of our application and submission processes. Participants now pay over the network and are able to submit their artworks with a few clicks of the mouse. General Chairman Fuhwa Jeng, unmatched in talent, intelligence, and leadership, has contributed greatly to the success of this year's competition. With her diligence and passion for photography, she helped the International Salon of Photography achieve over 4,000 submissions this year, breaking a 10-year record. Director-General Li-hua Yen, also the formal General Chairman, coordinated and contributed on behalf of the International Salon of Taipei as well. These two talented women sincerely deserve high levels of admiration.
We are grateful for everyone's support and participation for they have allowed this year's International Salon of Photography to grow and achieve such encouraging results. Thank you.

 第35屆台北國際沙龍攝影比賽，自5月1日開始收件，獲得全世界各地攝影愛好者的熱烈迴響，於8月28日截止報名，總共收到4132件作品參與角逐，經過十四位專業評審馬拉松式的嚴格評選，最終在9/3與9/4分別選出自然組與藝術組共計82件優秀攝影作品。
「第35屆台北國際沙龍攝影比賽」是北會35年來參與最踴躍的國際沙龍攝影比賽，參賽作品的數量遠超過歷屆比賽，由2009年的2090件、2010年的2229件、大躍成長至2011年的4132件；參賽人數也激增至2011年的727人。由於今年參賽人數眾多，評審過程極為艱辛，評審工作分兩天來進行，連世仁理事長也於評審兩天，親自慰勞每位評審與工作人員。
由於時代的變遷，在北會連理事長的極力改革下，以及員林的林浩然先生協助下，首次採用「國際沙龍數位化整合系統」，以電子郵件寄發簡章給歷屆國際沙龍参賽者，敬邀國際攝影愛好者参加本次比賽，並以網路投件結合PayPal線上付款系統，乃至評審工作的電腦化、作品自動播放、計分到統計，全部電腦作業一氣呵成，這一整套的數位化作業，不但可提升效率，也省卻了大量人力與時間的耗費，更贏得每位評審的讚嘆。
相信在台北國際沙龍團隊的努力下，明年的整套電腦操作將會更趨精緻化與人性化並再創佳績，在此感謝台北攝影學會連理事長的全力支持與評審老師審圖的辛勞、以及工作夥伴的努力合作，更感謝來自世界各地的參賽者熱情的參與，期望你們廣邀同好繼續參與，成就明年的輝煌。感謝！

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT |

The 35th Taipei International Salon Photography Competition, which started on 5/1, achieved amazing results. On the deadline on August 28th, we received a total of 4132 works from all over the world. After strict selection, the judges from both Natural Group and Art Group together selected a total of 82 outstanding photographs.
The Taipei International Salon Photography Competition received more than double the amount of works it did two years ago: In 2009, we received 2090 works; in 2010, we received 2229 works, and in 2011 we received 4132 works. The number of people who participated also increased to 727 this year. Because there were many talented people who competed in the competition, the final decisions were hard to make. The assessment lasted for two days and even Chairman Arthur Lien had to personally review each photo and reward the staff for their hard work.
Because technology has become more advance in these few years, the Taipei International Salon Photography Competition has implemented many technological changes to the competition. This year is the first time we used "International Salon of Digital Integrated Systems to e-mail sent pamphlets to interested photographers. We welcome photographers around the world to participate in this competition. We digitalized everything from the Paypal payment system to our voting process, which increase our efficiency greatly. We believe that by next year, we will further improve our computer operations by making it more refined and user-friendly in order to create even better results.
We would like to thank the Photographic Society of Taipei and the Chairman, for their full support of the plan and their approval and review of the judges' hard work, We would also like to thank all the participants from around the world for their enthusiastic participation. We hope you will invite other photography enthusiasts to participate in next year's Taipei International Salon of Photography. Thank you!
